Prof. Dr. Orhan İnce
Prof. Dr. Orhan Ince is graduated from ITU Faculty of Civil Engineering, Department of Environmental Engineering in 1986. He received MSc degree from the same department in 1989 and his Ph.D. in 1994 from the Department of Environmental Engineering at University of Newcastle upon Tyne (England). He became “Associate Professor” in 1995 and “Professor” in 2004.
He has been involved in technical studies within the scope of R&D projects at prominent universities of America (University of California-Berkeley, University of Texas at Austin, University of Wisconsin-Madison, Purdue University, Iowa State University, etc). He has worked as an Advisor to ITU Rector, ITU-Montana-State University (USA) Co-Founder and Co-President of International Joint Bachelor of Science in Bioengineering, Deputy Head of ITU Environmental Engineering Department and Coordinator of ITU Environmental Biotechnology Graduate Program. He is currently the chair of the Istanbul Technical University Microbiological Ecology Group (MEG) and the co-chairman of the ITU-Bogazici University Microbial Ecology Group (MEG).
Prof. Dr. Orhan Ince has managed and supervised over 400 scientific research and engineering projects in the fields of environmental and energy technologies areas including Water and Wastewater Management, Solis and Hazardous Waste Management, Waste and Treatment Sludge Management, Water Quality&Integrated Watershed Management, Industrial Pollution, and Control, Design, Control and Operation of Waste Disposal and Treatment Systems, Waste to Energy Technologies, Preparation of Environmental Master Plans, Determination of Flood Risks, Creation of Engineering Solutions and Design of Engineering Structures, Protection of Natural Ecosystems, Environmental Impact Assessment and Risk Evaluation, Environmental Permits and Licenses, Environmental Legislation Trainings, Preparation of Emergency Action Plans, Carbon Inventories and Carbon Footprint Studies, Environment and Energy and Investment Consultancy, Environmental Infrastructure and Energy Plant Audits.
Prof. Dr. Orhan Ince is the faculty member of the Department of Environmental Engineering at Istanbul Technical University (ITU) and the founding and managing partner of ENGY Energy and Environmental Technologies Research and Development Company.
